2004 Dodge Dakota

Finally, after all these years, another truck! It's not been easy living without a hauler. I guess our snow hasn't been too bad the last few years, but I feel a lot better havind a 4WD around the house. And, most importantly, it's RED. Actually, my 1978 Ford Courier (photo still MIA) was red but, in reality, more of it was brown from the rust than red.

There's nothing too special about this one. It's a V-6 with the 5-speed manual. It's more or less the base model but I had to factory order it because no one keeps manual transmission models on the lot. What's this country coming to when you can't even find a truck with a manual transmission? It's a nice highway driver for a 4WD but quality was a bit of an initial disappointment. It had to go right back in for a replacement heater core and some adjustment to the dashboard to get all the bits and pieces fastened correctly. All seems well now. Gas mileage and power meet expectations. 18 - 20 mpg in mixed driving. (Did I mention that it's red?)
