The first few miles were chilly but the sun took the edge off. High temperatures only
reached about 72F (22C) though.
The first SAG stop was about 23 miles into the ride.
The course then led to the lake and a fast run down to New Buffalo.
At the second SAG you had to make the decision whether to do 50 miles or go on for 75 or 100.
The pack got a little thinner here but it seemed like most riders went for the longer distances.
